Main duties include:

• Reading and interpreting Blueprints – understanding of drawings and specifications to determine material requirements.
• Material selection and preparation – Measuring and marking dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets.
• Cutting and shaping metal – operating cutting tools to shape the metal.
• Joining and Assembly – assembling metal parts by welding.
• Operating machinery – setting up and operating CNC machines such as brake press or punch press machines.
• Quality control – inspecting finished products and resolving defects.
• Safety and compliance – ensuring all safety standards and protocols are adhered to, in order to keep a safe working environment.

To note this roles working hours are 8am-4pm Monday to Friday and the pay rate during the probation period will be £11.44 due to the probation period and an increase in wage will follow a permanent contract offer.
