The Best Connection Bedford are currently recruiting for experienced Yard Operatives for our well established client at their new site just outside of Bedford. These are responsible, customer facing roles with potential long-term opportunities for the right candidates. Due to location all candidates must have their own transport with access to their own vehicle and full, clean driving licenses.
Responsibilities of the Yard Operative
- Store and locate all vehicles on site between the yard and collection hall.
- Line and lot vehicles for viewing, ensuring they are presented according to company specifications.
- Image vehicles in line with the company systems and presentation standards.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the yard and work areas at all time
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, management and the transport teams to ensure the smooth transition of ownership from the site to our customers.
- Ensure health and safety practices are observed at all times to prevent accidents and near misses
Requirements of the Yard Operative
- Attention to detail.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Good accuracy and organisational skills.
- Ability to work to target.
- PC literate with experience of using Tablets to perform multiple functions on the yard.
- Must have own transport and full, clean manual UK driving license.
- Trustworthy, honest and reliable with a commitment to providing the best customer experience.
Working Hours
- Working any 5 days in a 7 day period
- 12.00pm onwards start time
- 40 hours per week
Pay rates
- £12 per hour (may increase dependent on experience)
