Van Driver / Courier

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a dependable and driven individual to take on the role of van driver, operating a 3-tonne vehicle to deliver goods to various destinations. The position involves making around 50 to 60 stops per day and includes the manual loading and unloading of items into the vehicle. You will be expected to follow designated routes and delivery schedules, ensuring that all items arrive safely and in perfect condition. In addition to driving duties, you will be responsible for carrying out regular safety checks and conducting both pre and post-operation inspections of the vehicle.
This position offers a temporary-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidate following a successful trial period. Please note that applicants must be able to pass a five-year employment vetting process and either hold a current DBS check from the last three months or be willing to undergo a new one.
Please note:
- A 5-year employment history vetting process will be required
- A valid DBS check completed within the last 3 months, or willingness to undergo a new check, is necessary
RATES:
- Monday to Saturday - PAYE £14.25
- Sunday - PAYE £16.45
- B/Holidays / Over 40 hours - PAYE £21.38
- Good Friday and Christmas - PAYE £28.50
HOURS:
- Monday to Friday 09.00 till 17.30
- 30 minute break
- 40 hours per week
TYPE OF WORK:
Applicants must:
- Possess a valid B licence (Car and Van)
- Pass the vetting process
- Undertake a DBS Check
