About the Role

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Refuse Loaders to join our waste collection team. The successful candidates will assist with the collection of household and commercial waste, ensuring a high standard of service is delivered to local communities.

This is a physically demanding role that requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and involves regular lifting, loading, and moving of waste containers.

Key Responsibilities

Collect and load household, recycling, and commercial waste onto collection vehicles.

• Work alongside the driver and crew to complete daily collection routes efficiently.
• Handle waste safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensure bins and containers are returned to the correct location after collection.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
• Report any issues, hazards, or incidents to supervisors promptly.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to members of the public.

Requirements

• Good level of physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling duties.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude.
• Awareness of health and safety practices.
• Previous experience in waste collection, labouring, or outdoor work is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
