🕒 Rotating Shift Pattern

We are currently recruiting for an ATU Technician to join a well-established engineering and testing facility based in Gillingham, Kent. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical skills and an interest in engine testing or diesel systems to work in a highly technical environment supporting performance and validation testing.

Shift Pattern (Rotating)

Week 1

Monday - Thursday: 06:00 - 14:00

Friday: 06:00 - 13:00

Week 2

Monday - Thursday: 14:00 - 22:00

Friday: 13:00 - 20:00

Pay

💰 £14.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and install diesel components onto test rigs
• Build and maintain fluid circuits, pipework, and instrumentation systems
• Install and calibrate sensors, transducers, and data acquisition equipment
• Set up and run performance and endurance tests
• Carry out mechanical fitting, strip down, and rebuild of engines and subsystems
• Diagnose faults and repair or replace defective components
• Record and analyse test data using diagnostic software
• Support engineers with troubleshooting and resolving test issues
• Maintain and service test equipment including planned maintenance and repairs
• Assist with test program editing when required
• Work safely while following site procedures and safety protocols

Desirable Experience

✔ Advanced mechanical fitting skills

✔ Knowledge of fuel injection systems

✔ Experience with instrumentation setup and operation

✔ Familiarity with data acquisition systems

✔ Understanding of engine operation and diagnostics
