CNC Turner Programmer Setter

Our client, a successful engineering company, based in Tewkesbury requires a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to join their expanding team. This role may become permanent following a successful trial period.

Working Hours & Rates of Pay:

• Monday to Thursday, 07:30 - 16:00
• Friday, 07:00 - 13:00

No weekends!

• £14.00 - £16.50 per hour - depending on skill test and experience
• Overtime after 39 hours at either £21.00 or £24.75 - depending on hourly rate.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator with the ability to perform milling and turning of precision parts in various materials.

• Achieving key objectives in programming, setting and operating Hurco CNC Milling and Turning machines
• To be quality focused, working to the procedures within the company’s manufacturing process control document
• Producing precision parts with tight tolerances
• Inspection of components produced to ensure specifications are met
• Take an active role in continuous improvement and optimising work processes.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment

Key Skills Required to be Effective:

• Proven CNC experience, with a good understanding of machining principles
• Knowledge and experience in conversational programming of CNC machines
• Knowledge of relative safety standards
• Willingness to use protective clothing
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Familiarity with Hurco Winmax CNC Control Systems
