The Best Connection are recruiting multiple Multi Drop / Van Drivers to work with their client on the Team Valley, Gateshead. The role is working for a global logistics company and is due to start in November - it will be ongoing over peak and could be extended further with the potential of permanent positions. 

The role:

• Report to the Lead Courier at the start of the shift to be given route instructions
• Load parcels of up to 20kg on the van
• Complete fast, efficient and accurate delivery of parcels to customer's property 
• Minimum of 50 drops and collections per shift
• This is a customer facing role, so you must be friendly and professional as you will be representing The Best Connection

The candidate:

• Full, clean UK driving licence is essential - no DD or DR endorsements
• Physically fit as the role involves manual handling and heavy lifting
• Multi-drop experience is essential - minimum of 6 months
• A full DBS check must be completed before starting (paid for by us!)
• 5 year checkable work history and online HMRC document (we will show you how to obtain)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Positive attitude to customer care

Hours of work and pay:

• Monday to Friday 
• Typical working day is 10.00am - 19.00pm
• £13.42 per hour basic rate for first 45 hours worked
• £20.13 per hour overtime rate after 45 hours worked
• 8 hours minimum shift
