The Bset Connection are currently seeking a Accounting Assistant for a Manufacturer and distributing Company in the Bradford (BD5) area.
Hours of Work Mon to Fri 0800-
Responsibilities of the Accounting Assistant
- Dealing with all supplier account queries and keeping the ledgers reconciled and tidy.
- · Filing/retrieval of information
- · Inputting purchase invoices and credit notes on bespoke computerised Purchase Ledger, also checking delivery notes against invoices.
- · Chase missing receipts and delivery notes and deal with any outstanding discrepancies.
- · Print bank statements for all companies and post cash making sure the cashbook and bank account reconcile each day/month.
- · Print and send bank statements to credit control for customer cash allocations.
- · Chase missing invoices for the month end and ensure all the ledgers are reconciled.
- · Post and reconcile credit card transactions for month end.
- · Preparing and posting weekly wages journals.
- · Monthly balance sheets reconciliations.
- · Quarterly VAT returns.
- · Budget variance analysis.
- · Updating Fixed asset register
- · Assisting the finance manager with the preparation of the monthly MI Pack.
Requirements of the Accounting Assistant
- Attention to detail.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Good accuracy and organisational skills.
- Ability to work to target.
- PC literate.
Additional Benefits & Requirements
- 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
