Yard Operative / Forklift Driver

The Best Connection is currently recruiting for an experienced Yard Operative / Forklift Driver to join a busy and well-established Client based in Paisley for a Temporary on going position

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced yard environment, working with customers while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of operations.

🔹 Key Duties:

• Serving customers and assisting with orders in a professional manner
• Operating a forklift to move and load materials safely
• Picking and preparing orders accurately for collection or delivery
• Loading and unloading vehicles efficiently
• Handling a wide range of building and construction materials
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised yard at all times
• Adhering to all health & safety procedures

🔹 What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience within a warehouse (builders' merchant or similar environment)
• Good knowledge of building materials is preferred but not essential
• Valid forklift licence (essential)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good awareness of health & safety in a yard setting

• Overtime available on Saturdays - 08:00 - 12:00
