We are currently recruiting a Class 2 (Category C) Driver for a well-established client based in Peterborough. This is a hands-on role offering excellent pay rates, bonuses, and additional allowances.

Pay Rates & Benefits

• Basic rate: £16.34 per hour
• Overtime: £20.90 per hour (paid after 8 hours each day)
• Saturday rate: £20.90 per hour (all day)
• Bank Holidays:
  • 8 hours paid at basic rate
  • Plus £20.90 per hour for all hours worked
• Night out allowance: £26.20 per night
• Night start bonus: £20 bonus for shifts starting between 7pm and 5am
• Expenses covered:
  • Breakfast and dinner paid for
  • Coffee and snack from services during breaks

The Role

• Delivery of eggs to sites across the UK
• Manual loading and unloading of deliveries
• Washing out vehicles after every delivery
• Following strict biosecurity protocols
• Occasional work within the hatchery to make up hours when driving work is not available
• National coverage means some nights out are required, typically no more than 1-2 per week (some weeks may have none)

Driver Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
• Willing to carry out non-driving duties as required
• Reliable, flexible, and able to follow biosecurity and hygiene standards
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
