HGV Class 2 (LGV C) Driver – Newton Aycliffe

The Best Connection are seeking to recruit HGV Class 2 (LGV C) Drivers to work with their client based in Newton Aycliffe.

Our client is a global logistics and transportation company delivering kitchens to construction sites and private customers. They require day drivers to support them on an ad hoc basis, with ongoing work available.

An induction will be required before starting.

The Role:

• Delivering kitchens to various sites, including construction and residential addresses
• 80% of loads are palletised, with the remainder involving some handball
• Handball is light – no more than 10kg
• Number of drops will vary day to day

The Candidate:

• Valid LGV C (Class 2) licence
• Up-to-date CPC and Digi Card
• No more than 6 points on licence
• Barred endorsements include: AC, BA, CD, DD, DG, DR, IN, LC, UT, TT
• Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience required

Hours of Work:

• Start times vary depending on route and location
• Monday to Friday

Pay Rate (PAYE):

• £14.25 per hour – flat rate for all hours worked
