Class 1 RoRo Driver (Wagon & Drag)

Location: Newbury, Berkshire (RG14 5DG)

Pay Rate: £19.13 per hour

Hours: 06:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday

Contract Type: Temp to Perm

Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 RoRo Driver (Wagon & Drag) to join their busy operation on a Temp to Perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver seeking long-term employment with a well-established business, offering consistent hours, competitive pay, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Class 1 Wagon & Drag RoRo vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Delivering, collecting, and exchanging RoRo bins between customer sites and three operational locations.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
• Ensuring compliance with driver hours, tachograph, transport, and health and safety regulations.
• Completing all relevant paperwork accurately.
• Providing excellent customer service and maintaining positive client relationships.
• Representing the business in a professional manner at all times.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum of 2 year's Class 1 driving experience, or 1 year's Class 1 experience with proven RoRo experience.
• Previous Wagon & Drag experience is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of driver compliance and vehicle safety requirements.
• Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious approach.
• Smart appearance and strong communication skills due to the customer-facing nature of the role.
