The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our client based in Tamworth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV driver looking for regular night work involving straightforward trunking duties.
The Role
As a Class 1 (C+E) Driver, you will be responsible for completing trunking operations between locations safely and efficiently.
Duties will include:
- Starting from the Tamworth depot
- Driving to Hinckley to collect a trailer and returning to Tamworth for delivery
- Collecting the Motherwell trailer and travelling to Preston to meet the Scottish driver
- Returning back to the depot after completion
- Completing vehicle checks and required paperwork
- Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time
- Following all driver's hours and Working Time Directive regulations
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Good understanding of driver's hours regulations
- Reliable and professional attitude
