Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced HGV Grab Driver to work for our client operating a grab lorry efficiently and safely. The successful candidate will be responsible for the collection and delivery of materials, ensuring timely and accurate service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate HGV Grab Lorry: Safely and efficiently operate the grab lorry, including loading and unloading materials.
- Transport Materials: Collect and deliver various materials to and from construction sites and other locations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily checks and routine maintenance on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a professional attitude at all times.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) License: Essential for operating the grab lorry.
- CPCS or NPORS Grab Certificate: Preferred, demonstrating competency in using the grab arm.
- Experience: Proven experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of Safety Regulations: Understanding of health and safety procedures related to driving and operating heavy vehicles.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to handle the physical demands of the job.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
