Horizontal Borer Machinist

Are you an experienced CNC programmer, setter and operator? Are you available for an immediate start? Then look no further we have just the role for you!

The Best Connection Group LTD are currently hiring for our client, an established manufacturing company based in North Birmingham. The role will involve producing large one off parts ranging up to 3-4 meters in length. You will also be required to programme, set and operate CNC horizontal boring, milling and lathe machinery. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a permanent position.

Duties of the role will include:

• Programming, setting and running horizontal borers using Fanuc and Hedenhain controls
• Producing large one off parts to tight tolerances as per drawing specifications.
• Inspecting your work using various measuring instruments
• Up-keeping machines with general maintenance

The ideal candidate would have the following skills and attributes:

• Able to read and interpret technical drawings
• Keen attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills and technical ability
• Experience with operating CNC milling and lathe machines
• Able to work within fine tolerances to +/- 10 microns
• Programming, setting and operating a variety of CNC machinery

Hours of work:

• 07.30am - 16.15 Monday to Friday

Rates of pay:

• £16 - £20 per hour dependant on experience
