The Best Connection Host Charity Fundraiser Inspired by The Olympic Games 

Throughout June, The Best Connection launched a company-wide charity fundraising challenge inspired by the 2024 Olympic Games – The Best Connection Games. Employees embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, participating in scavenger hunts, sporting events, and community service activities each week. Their incredible displays of skill, sporting prowess, selflessness, and teamwork shone through, making the event a resounding success.

Week One: Scavenger Hunt 
In the first week, each team was assigned a country participating in this year’s Olympic games, to represent. The challenge was to solve a scavenger hunt by uncovering and investigating facts about each team’s assigned countries. Teams demonstrated their creativity by preparing traditional foods, solving word anagrams, translating languages, and sharing fun facts on our internal social media channels. The activity fostered a sense of global unity and cultural appreciation within the company. 

Week Two: Community Service 
The second week focused on giving back to local communities. Employees volunteered at local charities, assisted neighbors, donated to food banks, and raised much-needed funds for organisations in need. These efforts aligned perfectly with our corporate social responsibility promise and our mission to support both local and national communities. The dedication shown by our employees highlighted their commitment to making a positive impact beyond the workplace. 

Week Three: Sporting Events 
The third week brought a wave of excitement as teams competed in various sporting events. From egg and spoon races to running, walking, wall sits, and burpees, employees showcased their athletic talents and team spirit. This week was the key to racking up those points for the chosen charity. The competitive yet friendly atmosphere energised everyone involved, promoting wellbeing and strengthening the bonds among colleagues. 

Supporting Help for Heroes 
As part of the event, points were awarded for miles counted, minutes pledged, and countries guessed. These points were then converted into monetary donations for our chosen charity, Help for Heroes. This incredible organisation supports wounded veterans and their families by providing the physical, psychological, financial, and welfare assistance they deserve, whenever and for as long as they need it. An outstanding total of 5,236 points was accumulated by our incredible teams throughout the month, resulting in a remarkable £5,236 donation to Help for Heroes. This achievement underscores the collective effort and dedication of everyone involved. 

Celebrating Success and Team Spirit
