Transport Planner

Contract Type: Temporary, Full time
The Best Connection are currently seeking a Transport Planner to work for a Freight company based in Southampton, Hampshire.
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Planning haulage requirements for customers
- Planning of drivers and vehicles to match the customers delivery time
- Dealing with the drivers
- Scheduling transportation routes
- Quoting Clients
- React to live customer issues, communicating professionally over email and phone.
Job requirements:
- Previous experience as a Transport Planner
- Driven, with a keen focus on the details
- Hold effective & effective communication skills
- Creative mind set & ability to think outside the box
- Organised with excellent time keeping
- Rational & calm in pressured situations
- Strong administrative & MS Office skills
Standard hours of work are 0700 to 1700, Monday to Friday, however this can be flexible.
Please note the pay rate is dependent on experience.
