General Yard Operative

The Best Connection are currently recruiting General Yard Operative/Recycling Operative to work on-site in Telford TF2 area -in a waste management environment - working outdoors

Working hours and the pay:

• Hours of work 07:00 - 17:00 Monday To Friday
• The starting pay of £11.44ph and will be reviewed after completion of probational period
• Working outdoors
• Training provided
• This is Temp to Perm role after a trial

Responsibilities:

• Undertake environmental monitoring gas monitors to an agreed standard so as to comply with both internal and external requirements where required
• Driving a tractor
• Ensure that sampling, recording, analysis and recording of environmental monitoring requirements are undertaken as specified
• Data entry onto computer systems
• Litter Picking around a yard
• Be able to be on your feet for all day
• Working outdoors

Requirements:

• The candidate must be able to work in all weather conditions with being indoors and outdoors
• Have good understanding of Microsoft package IT skills in word, Excel and Outlook
• Data interpretation
• Licence Category F (tractor licence) and/or experience driving agricultural tractors
• Relevant experience in waste or environmental / scientific capacity/ working outdoors
• Ability to work on own initiative with little supervision
• due to location the candidate will require their own transport
