Class 1 Day Driver

The Best Connection are currently seeking Class 1 Drivers on behalf of our client, who are based in the Gillibrands area of Skelmersdale.
The successful candidate will possess a current and valid Class 1 HGV Licence and will have previous HGV Class 1 driving experience.
This client is a frozen and chilled food distributor who work Monday- Friday, and are able to offer between 2- 5 shifts per week making this work suitable for drivers looking for part time and full time work.
Responsibilities of the role
- Depending on the run you are allocated, start times can range between 0400- 0800, with deliveries ranging from 2- 8
- Using a pump truck truck to load/ unload at each delivery point.
- Delivery points are often kerb-side.
- Complete daily vehicle checks.
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
Driver requirements for insurance purposes-
- Class 1 driver experience for a minimum of 12 months
- No more than 6 penalty points, for minor endorsements only
