PUNCH PRESS OPERATIVES NEEDED!
The Best Connection is now recruiting for Punch press Operatives to join our prestigious client in Banbury!
We’re looking for candidates with a great work ethic who are ready for ongoing opportunities and have the potential for permanent positions after a successful trial period.
Pay Rate:
Shift Hours:
- Monday - Thursday 07:00-16:00
- Fridays 07:00-14:00
Responsibilities of the role
- Load programs and tooling for each project accurately
- Inspect and measure components before and after processing
- Assist in punching component finishing (knock-out & de-burring)
- Operate and maintain the tool grinding/sharpening machine
- Perform routine maintenance on punch press machinery
- Handling sheet metal loading/unloading
Requirements of the role
- Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a similar punch press role
- Experience operating a counterbalance forklift
- Familiarity with Amada punch presses (or similar systems)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing drawings
- Experience in the metal fabrication industry (preferred)
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Pays high attention to detail and has strong communication skills
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Must have own transport
