We are recruiting for a Paint Shop Operative to join the Workshop/Hire Team to carry out all aspects of paint repair and reconditioning using the latest technology electrostatic paint spray equipment. The Paint Shop Operative will be responsible for carrying minor repairs and ensuring that all commercial and plant machinery leave the workshop for sale or hire to the highest standards of presentation.

Our Client has a large site in Biggleswade with free on-site parking, a friendly and hard-working culture with good rates of pay and working hours which are:

Shift: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:30, Pay rate is £14.82 per hour, the role is offered on a temp to perm basis for successful candidates.

Requirements of the Paint Shop Operative:

• Prepare and carry out all aspects of paint repairs, manual, spray and roll painting to commercial vehicles, structures and components.
• Prepare vehicles for hire or purchase; clean, wash, de-grease filler repairs and corrosion removal using hand and power tools.
• Applicants must have commercial paint shop experience and at least 2 years experience or vocational qualification in paint application.
• Must have a clean, UK Full driving licence and access to own vehicle as travel to other sites/location may be required

Responsibilities of the Paint Shop Operative:

• Follow health and safety practices at all times, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and protocol when completing all paint work.
• Work collaboratively with the work shop team and have excellent customer service skills as parts of the role will be customer facing.
• Completed all associated paperwork in line with health and safety, operational and financial requirements
• Minimise as far as possible any commercial or financial risks to the business and preserve as much as possible equipment, machinery and utensils required to carry out the responsibilities of the post.
