The Best Connection Bedford are currently recruiting for a wash bay operative to join one of our excellent clients in Biggleswade on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Pay rate: £12.50 per hour, Monday to Friday with core hours of 08.00 - 16.30 hrs, based on 40 hours a week.
This is a client and customer facing role that requires great customer service skills, a love of working outdoors and the opportunity to clean and valet some of the most important equipment used for hire and sale in the construction industry.
Responsibilities of the Clean and Wash Operative
- Clean and Valet vehicles and machinery using jet-washers and construction machinery to a high standard.
- Complete all associated company paperwork associated with hire/re-hire.
- Maintain the wash bay to a high standard, observing all health and safety practises in the work place.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, following up on any queries with the Workshop Manager.
- Carry out Wash Bay duties in line with the company quality assurance manual.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and carry out any other duties
Requirements of the Clean and Wash Operative
- Attention to detail.
- Previous experience of Yard/ Wash Bay Operative an advantage
- Knowledge of safe working practises and health and safety practises
- Ability to work to schedules in line with business needs
- Great customer service skills and a can-do attitude.
- Must enjoy working outside in all weathers
