The Best Connection are delighted to be recruiting for warehouse operatives and Reach Truck Forklift Truck Operatives for one of our clients based in Bedford, one of the largest suppliers of industry materials in the UK.

The warehouse Operatives will be joining a friendly long-standing team and will receive full training, though previous experience working in a fast paced Warehouse environment is desirable. The role will involve operating a PPT, so candidates must have previous experience operating a LLOP and/or Reach Truck Forklift Truck. Manual handling with some heavy lifting will be required throughout the shift.

Shift Pattern: Sunday - Thursday 17:30 - 02:00am, Pay rate is £14.42 per hour, overtime is paid at £21.62 for time and a half after 40 hours.

Responsibilities of the Warehouse/Reach Truck Operative:

• Pick and pack items from the warehouse with a high degree of accuracy, ready for immediate dispatch
• Unload containers of stock and distribute throughout the warehouse in correct locations
• Use in-house software to process orders and update order statuses as required
• Adhere to all health and safety protocol within the warehouse and report any concerns immediately
• Work collaboratively with the Warehouse teams to achieve pick targets and maintain the productive warehouse environment.

Requirements of the Warehouse/Reach Truck Operative:

• Must have recent experience of operating warehouse MHE including LLOP and Reach Forklift trucks.
• Undertake all induction training and on-going online training as required
• Must be reliable, trustworthy with a good work ethic
• Able to commit to on-going night shifts from 17:30 - 14:00, working from Sunday-Thursday
• Flexible to meet the needs of the business as overtime may be required to finish tasks on the nightshifts
