Job Overview

The Best Connection is recruiting on behalf of a well‑established distribution client based in Goldthorpe (S72). We are looking for an experienced and reliable Class 2 (Category C) Driver to join their team on an ongoing basis.

This role offers consistent weekday work, early starts, and competitive pay, making it ideal for drivers seeking stability. The position involves delivering kitchens and worktops to residential addresses and construction sites. Due to the nature of the products, the role includes regular handballing and heavy lifting, so applicants must be physically fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle to deliver kitchens and worktops
• Manual handling and handballing of goods, including heavy lifting
• Deliveries to residential properties and building sites
• Completing daily vehicle checks
• Accurate completion of delivery paperwork
• Adhering to all health & safety and driver hours regulations
• Representing the client professionally at customer locations

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year Class 2 driving experience
• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional approach

Additional Information

• Induction: Thursday at 8:00am
• Usual start time: 6:00am
• Early starts are essential for this role
