Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour (Overtime after 9 hours) + £26.00 per night out
Start Times: From 2:00am
Position Type: Ongoing, full-time tramping role
The Best Connection is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Class 1 (C+E) Tramping Driver to join a well-established transport and logistics business based in Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HGV driver looking for regular tramping work, early starts, and consistent nights out in the truck.
About the Role
Your duties will include:
- Completing full pre- and post-vehicle checks
- Following delivery schedules and route instructions
- Communicating closely with the transport team
- Ensuring goods are delivered safely, professionally and on time
- Adhering to all transport and company safety procedures
- Completing 4-5 nights out per week in the vehicle
- Maintaining productivity levels to meet customer expectations
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class 1 (LGV C+E) Licence
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Maximum of 6 points (no DD/DR/IN endorsements)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Willingness to complete early starts and regular nights out
