We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Dispatch Operative to manage and coordinate the timely distribution of goods, materials, or personnel. The ideal candidate will act as a communication link between drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure efficient and accurate delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and process dispatch orders from management or customers.
- Schedule and coordinate deliveries or pickups with drivers and warehouse teams.
- Monitor delivery progress and update relevant parties on status.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including logs, schedules, and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to resolve any issues or delays.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations during dispatch processes.
- Assist with loading or unloading tasks if necessary.
- Use dispatch software or communication devices to track and coordinate shipments.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dispatch or logistics role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS systems, or basic computer applications.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
