The Best Connection are currently seeking a CE Class 1 Driver to fill a driving position in Dartford. The successful candidate will possess a current and valid CE Class 1 Licence and must have CE Class 1 driving experience.
This position is in a Class 1 flat bed lorry, performing the delivery of steel products, so experience of live loads will be necessary. You will be responsible for your live load, so strapping and chaining knowledge and experience would be needed. You will be delivering to other warehouses, businesses and sites and will be acting as a face of the company, so some customer facing skills would be required.
Monday to Friday work. 07:00 start time.
Responsibilities of the CE Class 1 Driver
- Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports.
- Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely Interact with dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all task are carried out in a timely and professional manner and prepare to return home.
- Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner.
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
Requirements of the CE Class 1 Driver
- Category CE Class 1 Licence
- CE Class 1 Driving experience
- Current and in date CPC & Digicard
- Verifiable references
- Live load driving experience
- Strapping and chaining experience
Compensation of the CE Class 1 HGV Driver
The starting salary for this position is £16.80 hourly PAYE
