Production Horticultural Worker

Location: Whitestake, Preston
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm
Saturday work: Optional Saturday work may be available for those who want extra hours.

About the Role

The Best Connection are looking for a hardworking and physically fit Production Horticultural Worker to join our team in Whitestake, Preston.

The role involves working on a productionplanting line, including sitting at a planter and planting for an extended period throughout the working day. This is a physically demanding role and requires you to be comfortable working in a bent-over position for long periods of time.

Main Duties

• Planting plants on a production planter throughout the day.
• Working at a steady and consistent pace.
• Repetitive planting and handling of plants.
• Maintaining good quality and accuracy while planting.
• Loading, handling and moving plants and materials when required.
• Following health and safety procedures at all times.
• Working effectively as part of a team.

What We Are Looking For

• Reliable and punctual.
• Hardworking with a good attitude.
• Comfortable carrying out repetitive physical work.
• Able to sit and work in a bent-over position for extended periods.
• Physically capable of working on your feet and/or seated/bent for long periods.
• Able to maintain concentration and productivity throughout the working day.
• Previous horticultural or planting experience is useful but full training can be provided.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 7:00am-4:00pm

There may also be optional Saturday work available for anyone who would like to earn additional hours.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
