Our Story
For over 35 years, The Best Connection has been helping people find meaningful work and supporting businesses with trusted, flexible staffing solutions.
As one of the UK’s leading recruitment agencies, we specialise in supplying high-quality temporary workers across driving, industrial, warehouse, retail, logistics, aviation, and care sectors.
With over 80 branches nationwide, more than 700 employees and access to over 50,000 temporary workers, we combine the strength of national scale with the care and accountability of local expertise. Every day, we connect people, businesses and communities through recruitment solutions built on trust.
Our people-first approach and commitment to reliable delivery have been recognised through industry award shortlistings, reflecting the impact of our work for clients, temporary workers and communities alike.

Employee-Owned, People-Driven
In 2024, The Best Connection Group became part of an Employee-Owned Trust (EOT) within the SWS Group of companies – a natural step for a business built on teamwork, pride, and shared success.
Employee ownership gives every colleague a voice and a real stake in our future, empowering our people to collaborate, innovate, and deliver exceptional results for our clients and temporary workers.
Our employee ownership model strengthens accountability, encourages long-term thinking and ensures that decisions are made with sustainability and shared success in mind.
“Our people don’t just work for The Best Connection – they own a part of its future.”
This shared responsibility is championed by our leadership team, who keep our people and values at the heart of every decision.
What We Stand For
Everything we do is guided by a clear purpose and a set of values that shape how we operate, how we lead and how we grow.
Community Commitment
At The Best Connection, we believe in making a positive difference – from supporting national charities to empowering local communities through branch-led fundraising, volunteering, and awareness campaigns.
As an employee-owned business, giving back is part of who we are. Across our 80+branch network, our teams take pride in supporting causes that matter locally, building stronger connections across the UK.
We recognise that responsible recruitment extends beyond the workplace. By investing in communities, sustainability and social impact, we strengthen the environments in which our people and clients operate.

From Local Beginnings to National Reach
Founded in Birmingham in 1991 by Andrew Sweeney and Neil Yorke, The Best Connection was built on a simple idea: provide recruitment solutions that truly understand local industry needs.
Starting with one branch in the heart of the UK’s manufacturing and automotive region, the business quickly grew – earning a reputation for quality, reliability, and personal service.
Today, with over 80 branches across the UK, 700 employees, and employee ownership at its core, we remain true to our founding values while continually improving how we connect people and businesses.
