EDI
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
Empowering People, Embracing Difference
At The Best Connection, we believe that Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) are essential to who we are – not just policies or targets, but values that shape everything we do.
We’re proud to create a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported to thrive. Our commitment extends to every part of our network, our employees, temporary workers, and clients, ensuring everyone benefits from an inclusive, people-first culture.
Our Approach to Inclusion
Our approach to EDI is guided by fairness, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Our Culture & Values
Diversity is part of our strength. Inclusion is part of our culture.
We succeed because we’re a community built on trust, respect, and shared goals – connecting people from all backgrounds to opportunities that change lives.
Our Guiding Principles
- Ethical – We always act with integrity, transparency, and respect.
- Professional – We go above and beyond for our clients and candidates.
- Balanced – We recognise the importance of a healthy work-life balance.
- Progressive – We continually improve and innovate.
- Inclusive – We embrace equality, diversity, and inclusion in everything we do.
At The Best Connection, we’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.
Making Inclusion Happen
Our EDI commitment is brought to life through meaningful initiatives led by our people:

Charity and Community Initiatives
EDI Champion Group: A cross-functional team of employees who raise awareness, drive change, and collaborate with senior leaders to embed inclusivity across the business.
Focus & Support Groups: From mental health and menopause to disability and working parents, our virtual support groups provide a safe space to share experiences and build understanding.
EDI Awareness Calendar: A year-round calendar of events promoting awareness and celebration — from PRIDE and Mental Health Awareness Week to cultural festivals and national inclusion days.
Charity and Community Initiatives: Through volunteering, fundraising, and awareness campaigns, our branches support causes that reflect our values and strengthen our local communities.
Meet Our EDI Champions
Our Champions come from every part of our business, helping make equality, diversity, and inclusion part of our daily culture.
“At the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC), we believe recruiters are pivotal in fostering workplace inclusion, raising employer awareness, and empowering candidates from disadvantaged backgrounds. However, true impact begins within. The Best Connection’s data-driven approach is deeply integrated into their culture. They understand that they do not have all the answers and are not afraid to ask questions. I was honoured to contribute my expertise to their EDI meetings and development of their first employee survey. By cultivating an inclusive environment internally, they demonstrate their dedication to EDI, proving to both clients and candidates that they genuinely want to make a difference based on their belief that creating diverse and equitable workplaces is both ethically right and commercially beneficial.”
