Neurodiversity Week

The Best Connection Celebrates Neurodiversity Week
At The Best Connection, we’re proud to celebrate the unique perspectives, talents and experiences that neurodivergent individuals bring to the workplace. During Neurodiversity Celebration Week 2025, the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) Champions brought that commitment to life with a series of inclusive initiatives designed to raise awareness, spark meaningful conversations and encourage everyone across the business to get involved.
Championing Awareness Across Our Network
Throughout the week, we spotlighted the importance of neurodiversity, from regular updates and informative posts to stories shared by colleagues from across our branch network. We explored what neurodiversity really means, highlighting the broad range of neurological differences such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and more.
Employees were invited to take part by sharing their own experiences or those of friends and family. These contributions came in many forms — thoughtful quotes, honest stories, and powerful video messages — all posted on our Belonging at TBC Viva Engage network. This dedicated space encouraged others to join the conversation and fostered a genuine sense of inclusion and openness.
Learning Through Stories, Facts and Shared Experiences
To help build understanding, we shared infographics, facts, and resources each day, helping our teams learn about the different ways neurodiversity presents, including how certain traits may show differently in men and women. Through polls, Q&As, and real-life insights, we worked to break down misconceptions and highlight the value of embracing difference.
A Week of Reflection, Learning and Connection
We ended the week with a live, company-wide webinar focused on neurodiversity in the workplace. Hosted by our ED&I Champions the session gave employees the opportunity to learn, listen and share. We explored key topics such as types of neurodivergence, lived experiences, and how we can all play a role in creating an inclusive environment. The interactive session included live polls, questions from attendees, and moving contributions from our people.
Real Voices, Real Impact
Stefan Hole, employee with family members with neurodifferences, shares what Neurodiversity Week meant to him on a personal level:
“The Best Connection’s support for Neurodiversity Week really meant a lot to me. I have close family members who have neurodifferences, so seeing the business take the time to raise awareness, encourage open conversations, and show genuine understanding was incredibly powerful. It made me feel proud to be part of a company that champions inclusion and supports families like mine.”
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Champions
The campaign was led by our ED&I Champions, who played a key role in planning, promoting and driving engagement throughout the week. Their passion and leadership helped ensure Neurodiversity Week wasn’t just acknowledged but truly celebrated across the entire business.
With their support, we shared the purpose of the week, explain the importance of neurodiversity, and encourage participation from employees across our branch network.
Looking Ahead
Neurodiversity Week may have ended, but our commitment to inclusion continues every day. With the support of our ED&I Champions and the voices of our people leading the way, we’ll keep working to ensure that every individual at The Best Connection feels recognised, respected, and valued — and empowered to bring their whole self to work.
