The Best Connection Achieves Disability Confident Employer Level 2 Accreditation
The Best Connection is proud to announce that we have achieved Disability Confident Employer (Level 2) accreditation, recognising our ongoing commitment to inclusive recruitment, fair employment practices and supporting disabled colleagues across our UK workforce.
This milestone represents an important step in our wider Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) journey and reinforces our commitment to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported and able to thrive.
What Is the Disability Confident Scheme?
Disability Confident is a UK Government-backed scheme designed to help employers improve how they recruit, retain and develop disabled people.
The scheme encourages continuous learning and improvement, supporting organisations to build inclusive workplaces where individuals feel empowered to contribute their unique skills and talents.
Our Disability Confident Journey
The Disability Confident scheme includes three progressive levels:
- Disability Confident Committed (Level 1)
- Disability Confident Employer (Level 2)
- Disability Confident Leader (Level 3)
As part of Level 1, we committed to the core Disability Confident principles and identified practical actions to support disabled people into work.
Building on this foundation, we progressed to Level 2 – Disability Confident Employer by completing a detailed self-assessment focused on:
- Attracting and recruiting the right people
- Supporting and developing our colleagues
- Providing fair opportunities and reasonable adjustments
Achieving Level 2 recognises organisations that go further to ensure disabled people receive fair access to opportunities during recruitment and are supported throughout their employment.
What This Means for Our People
Being a Disability Confident Employer strengthens how we support permanent internal colleagues across The Best Connection.
This includes:
- Inclusive and accessible recruitment processes
- Fair treatment and reasonable adjustments
- Support throughout the employee journey
- A workplace culture built on respect and inclusion
Disability inclusion is embedded across the full employee experience, not treated as a standalone initiative.
Part of Our Wider EDI and ESG Commitment
This accreditation forms part of our broader Equality, Diversity and Inclusion commitment and wider Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) approach.
It reflects our ambition to create opportunities for everyone and to ensure our workplace remains inclusive, responsible and forward-thinking.
You can read more about our approach on our EDI Promise page and explore our wider accreditations on our ESG & CSR page.
Looking Ahead
As a Disability Confident Employer, we remain committed to listening, learning and continually improving. We will use the framework provided by the scheme to further strengthen inclusion and ensure our workplace supports all colleagues to succeed.
