💷 Pay Rate: £15.74 per hour + Overtime Premiums

The Best Connection West Bromwich is currently recruiting a Yard / FLT Operative to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Smethwick.

🕒 Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 07:00 - 17:00
• Overtime available with premium rates

🔧 About the Role

This is a varied position combining yard duties (70%) and FLT work (30%), with most of your time spent outdoors (full PPE and workwear provided).

Your duties will include:

• Picking gas cylinders using pick sheets
• Loading and unloading stillages
• Safely securing cylinders with ratchet straps
• Operating a Counterbalance FLT to load/unload HGV vehicles
• Assisting customers with cylinders of varying weights
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard
• Supporting general duties as required

✅ What We're Looking For

• Valid B1 FLT Counterbalance licence (essential)
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Willingness to work overtime
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
• A positive attitude and team-player mindset
