IMMEDIATE START - TEMP TO PERM. A fantastic opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to work with our client in Ely. Ongoing role that will lead to a possible permanent position following a successful trial period. Working Monday to Friday 07.30 - 16.00 Pay is £12.05 per hour. Due to location own transport is essential.
The role will involve general warehouse duties that will include:
- To assist with the unwrapping and re-packaging of the doors, door sets
- Sorting deliveries and placing them in the appropriate bins
- Checking details and addresses on labels to ensure that they are correctly sorted.
- Ensure that pallets moved in and out of the warehouse or elsewhere on site are stacked and strapped in a safe and risk-free manner.
- Checking for damaged or missing items
- Loading & unloading goods on trucks by forklift or hand
- Assist with the lifting of the products.
- Conduct regular perpetual stock takes in the warehouse.
- Will be required to move stock around by hand, using lifting gear or a forklift truck.
- General warehouse duties including housekeeping duties to ensure cleanliness and H&S of the site is always maintained.
- Operating a range of woodworking machines & using hand tools for finishing.
- Be aware of and always follow all H&S procedures and alert your team leader if an issue is spotted.
