The Best connection group LTD Group is currently recruiting for Dedicated Weekend Class 1 drivers in the Stoke-on-Trent Area.

We're looking for dedicated weekend drivers to support our client through peak period. Shift start times vary between 13:00pm & 15:00pm, the role will involve trunking to distrubution centres.  You have the option to work just Saturtday and Sunday or Friday through to Monday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Class 1 HGV to transport timber products to various locations
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and road-worthiness
• Comply with all road traffic regulations and company policies
• Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients on delivery sites
• Adhere to delivery schedules while maintaining a high level of safety

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 HGV (C+E) licence
• Assessment required prior to starting work
• Maximum 6 points (No DR10/DD10).
• Up-to-date CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and tachograph card
• Strong awareness of health and safety regulations
• Excellent driving record with no major infringements
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
