The Best Connection is recruiting for a Waste & Resource Recovery Supervisor to join a leading food manufacturing and sustainability-focused business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with waste management, recycling, production, or logistics experience who is passionate about environmental compliance and continuous improvement.

The Role

You will be responsible for monitoring and improving waste segregation across the site, ensuring waste streams remain compliant, contamination is minimised, and recycling opportunities are maximised.

Working closely with production, engineering, hygiene, yard, and contractor teams, you'll help drive best practices in waste management while supporting the site's sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor waste streams and conduct regular waste inspections.
• Identify and address contamination issues quickly.
• Ensure waste is correctly segregated into designated containers.
• Support colleagues with waste management guidance and best practices.
• Complete waste audits and maintain accurate records.
• Produce weekly reports on waste quality and recycling performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve recycling rates and reduce waste disposal costs.
• Promote environmental awareness and support site improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within waste management, recycling, manufacturing, logistics, or environmental services.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-compliant waste.
• Good communication skills with the confidence to engage with different departments.
• Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems.
• A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
