Warehouse Operative & Van Driver Job in Manchester

The Best Connection Group Manchester is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative / Van Driver on behalf of our established client based in M44, Greater Manchester. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a reliable, hardworking, and motivated individual seeking long-term employment within a successful and growing business.

This varied role combines 70% warehouse duties with 30% van driving and delivery work, making it ideal for candidates with experience in warehouse operations, logistics, order picking, packing, stock control, delivery driving, and multi-drop van driving.

Pay Rates

• £13.05 per hour
• £19.58 per hour after 42 hours worked
• Weekly pay
• Overtime available

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 09:00 - 17:30
• 1 in every 3 Saturdays required
• Full-time ongoing work
• Temp-to-perm opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely
• Handling glass panes and vehicle windscreens with care
• Stock control and inventory management
• Goods-in and goods-out duties
• Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment
• Completing local deliveries and collections in a company van
• Vehicle checks and route planning
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Supporting the wider warehouse and logistics team as required

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative, Warehouse Assistant, Van Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Stores Person, Logistics Operative, Picker Packer, or Driver/Warehouse Operative is advantageous
• Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of 3 years
• Must be aged 21 or over for insurance purposes
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
