Job Description - Warehouse Team Leader / Shift Manager

Location: Busy 3PL Warehouse

Hours: Day shifts, Monday to Friday (08:00-17:00 or 10:00-18:00)

Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour / Up £35,000 Full Time

Contract: Full-time Perrm Role

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive Warehouse Team Leader to supervise daily operations in a fast-paced 3PL warehouse environment. This role involves leading a team of warehouse operatives and pickers, ensuring targets are met, and maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency across multiple customer contracts.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, experienced in warehouse operations, and comfortable working in both day and future shift patterns. With management of a Warehouse Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise warehouse teams during your shift
• Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure productivity targets are met
• Support high-volume picking, manual handling, loading, and unloading operations
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, including manual handling and chiller operations
• Train, coach, and mentor team members to develop skills and performance
• Maintain workflow across multiple contracts and warehouse areas
• Assist in stock management, order accuracy, and warehouse organisation
• Report shift performance, issues, and improvements to senior management

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Team Leader or Shift Supervisor in a warehouse environment
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Experience with high-volume manual handling and picking operations
• Knowledge of health & safety standards and warehouse compliance
• Ability to motivate a team and maintain high operational standards
• Flexible and adaptable to changing workloads and shift patterns
• Reliable, proactive, and hands-on approach to warehouse management
