Warehouse FLT Operative Wanted - Consistent Work & Weekly Pay

Earlies | Mon - Fri: 06:00 - 13:00

Lates | Mon - Fri: 11:00 - 19:00

Job Summary

We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative to support a busy print factory in Uckfield. This is a hands-on role suited to someone reliable, organised, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment. You will play a key part in ensuring smooth goods‑in, stock control, and internal logistics between the warehouse and production areas.

This position is offered on a temporary basis through The Best Connection, eventually leading to a permanent contract after a successful period.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Receiving, checking, and booking in stock including paper, inks, and consumables
• Managing goods‑in and dispatch operations
• Maintaining accurate stock records through daily physical counts
• Strapping completed work and organising daily movement between factories
• Producing a simple daily stock report, including:
• Completed stock counts
• Internal stock transfers (warehouse machines)
• Replenishment requirements from suppliers
• Daily (or twice‑daily, volume‑dependent) house sheet and paper stock checks
• Liaising with production teams to prioritise work and resolve shortages
• Replenishing stock to ensure uninterrupted workflow
• Operating a counterbalance FLT to ensure stock is moved safely around the workshop

(Please note: duties may vary depending on operational requirements.)

Health & Safety:

• Adhere strictly to all Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Remain vigilant, alert, and aware of surrounding risks at all times

Preferable for this position but not essential:

• Access to own vehicle

Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK.
