IMMEDIATE START - TEMP TO PERM. A fantastic opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to work with our client in Waterbeach. This role requires a motivated individual with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills both written and oral. Working hours 08:00-16:00 or 08:30-16:30
Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, the Warehouse Operative will be responsible for a range of duties within the warehouse environment including (but not exclusively) shipping and receiving, maintaining inventory, completing paperwork, forklift operation and quality control. Responsibilities:
- Making sure stock and supplies are received, booked in and stored correctly.
- Pick orders in an accurate and time efficient manner.
- Have a good attention to detail, ensuring items and work is completed with minimal errors.
- Packing items ready for dispatch ensuring labels and invoices are printed and correct.
- Loading / Unloading vehicles.
- Carry out required cycle-counts for the department to meet its targets on pick-accuracy.
- Ensure chemicals and spares are kitted correctly as required.
- Quality Control of incoming goods
- Maintaining a clear and tidy warehouse, ensuring any potential hazards are dealt with safely, quickly, and efficiently.
- Working both independently and as part of a team
- Confer and coordinate activities with other departments.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Experience of working within a warehousing function - Essential
- Forklift License (Reach, Electric Stacker Truck) – Preferred
- Dangerous Goods knowledge – An advantage but not essential
