The Best Connection are currently recruiting for Drivers Mate in the Bedford area. This role will be responsible for supporting drivers to deliver stock of lagers, ales, and craft beers accurately and safely to customers, ensuring that each delivery is completed with excellent customer service.

Responsibilities of the Drivers Mate:

• Supporting the driver and warehouse teams in loading/unloading of stock
• Supporting the driver with the most efficient traffic routes to help you both get to each location and back home as quickly and safely as possible
• Building brilliant working relationships with your customers and other departments
• Holding health and safety at the forefront of all processes
• Might involve heavy lifting

Experience and Key Attributes of the Drivers Mate:

• Prior experience working as a driver’s mate or within a warehouse desirable however not required
• Customer service
• Manual handling experience and/or training desirable, however full training will be provided during induction
• Knowledge of local region
• Physically fit 

Working Hours

• Working any 5 days in a 7 day period
• 04.00am onwards start time 
• 48 hours per week 
• Overtime available 

Pay rates

• Basic hours £12.00 per hour
• £18.00 after 48 hours
