We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Dispatch Operative to manage and coordinate the timely distribution of goods, materials, or personnel. The ideal candidate will act as a communication link between drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure efficient and accurate delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process dispatch orders from management or customers.
• Schedule and coordinate deliveries or pickups with drivers and warehouse teams.
• Monitor delivery progress and update relevant parties on status.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including logs, schedules, and delivery confirmations.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to resolve any issues or delays.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations during dispatch processes.
• Assist with loading or unloading tasks if necessary.
• Use dispatch software or communication devices to track and coordinate shipments.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a dispatch or logistics role is preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS systems, or basic computer applications.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
