Warehouse Operative - Bandsaw Operator

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative / Bandsaw Operator to join a busy and fast-paced operation in Bolton. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with metal products and operating bandsaws, who is comfortable carrying out a variety of warehouse duties in a hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Measuring and cutting metal materials accurately using a bandsaw.
• Loading, unloading, and relocating steel pipes, tubes, and metal products throughout the warehouse.
• Using hand scanners to manage stock movements and order processing.
• Using computer systems for stock control, tracking, and basic data entry.
• Handling metal products and materials, including heavier items.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties as required.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with company health and safety procedures.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous bandsaw operating experience (essential).
• Experience working with steel, metal products, or within a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• Computer literacy and confidence using warehouse systems (essential).
• Good numeracy and attention to detail when measuring and cutting materials.
• Ability to carry out manual handling duties safely.
• Strong understanding and commitment to health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
