Van Driver

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour

Job Type: Ongoing Seasonal Position until the end of December

We are currently recruiting Van Drivers for our client based in Carlisle to support increased demand throughout the busy Christmas period. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in delivery driving, with full on-site training provided and no previous delivery experience required.

The Role

As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for:

• Completing parcel and package deliveries across Carlisle and surrounding areas
• Carrying out approximately 60 drops per day
• Loading and unloading your vehicle safely
• Following planned delivery routes efficiently
• Providing excellent customer service at each delivery point
• Completing all relevant delivery paperwork and electronic records

This is a physically demanding role involving a high level of manual handling throughout the day. Candidates must be comfortable lifting, moving and carrying parcels regularly as part of their daily duties.

No Experience Required

Previous delivery driving experience is not essential, as full training will be provided on-site. We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Working Hours

09:00am - 5:30pm

Various shift patterns available:

• Monday to Friday
• Tuesday to Saturday
• Sunday to Thursday

Pay & Benefits

• £13.00 per hour
• £19.50 per hour for overtime worked
• Full on-site training provided
• Ongoing work throughout the busy Christmas period

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A full UK Driving Licence
• No more than 6 penalty points
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A reliable and professional attitude
• The ability to work independently and manage routes effectively
• A good level of physical fitness due to the manual handling involved
• Flexibility to work additional hours during peak periods when required
