The Best Connection are currently recruiting experienced Van Drivers (Category B) on behalf of our client based in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham.

Our client is a large-scale parcel distribution company specialising in high-volume parcel collections and deliveries. Due to their upcoming busy period, they require several experienced Van Drivers to support their busy delivery operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced delivery drivers and parcel delivery drivers looking for ongoing van driving work in Newton Aycliffe, with regular hours, weekly pay and enhanced overtime rates.

The Role

As a Van Driver, your duties will include:

• Collection and delivery of parcels
• Loading and unloading your vehicle
• Completing multiple parcel collections and deliveries
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
• Providing excellent customer service
• Representing both our client and The Best Connection in a friendly and professional manner

Hours of Work

• 08:00 to 18:30
• 30-minute lunch break
• Other shift patterns may also be available
• Ongoing assignment

Shift Pattern:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday OR Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

Pay Rates

• £13.00 per hour for the first 40 hours
• £19.50 per hour after 40 hours
• Weekly pay

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this Van Driver position in Newton Aycliffe, you will need:

• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Category B driving licence
• Previous van driving experience
• Previous delivery or multi-drop experience would be beneficial
• Positive and professional approach to customer service
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability
• Good attention to detail
• Confidence working in a customer-facing environment
