Van Driver - Washington - Temp to Perm - £12.71 per Hour

The Best Connection are working on behalf of our client based in Washington to recruit a reliable and customer-focused Van Driver for a temporary to permanent opportunity.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver looking to join a well-established company offering long-term work, consistent hours, and the chance to secure a permanent contract.

Within this role you will be responsible for delivering directly to customers' homes across the North East and surrounding areas. This is a customer-facing role requiring excellent communication skills and a professional approach at all times.

The Role:

• Multi-drop deliveries (typically 15-30+ deliveries per day)
• Over-the-threshold deliveries directly into customers' homes
• Providing exceptional customer service during every delivery
• Accurate completion of delivery information using a PDA device
• Following all safe working procedures and operating instructions
• Covering routes throughout the North East, Borders, Carlisle, Harrogate, York and Scarborough
• Logistics distribution and supply chain industry

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 06:30
• Finish times up to approximately 18:00
• Average working week of 50+ hours

Pay:

• £12.71 per hour
• Average weekly gross pay of approximately £635.50
• Weekly pay through The Best Connection

Requirements:

• Full UK Category B Driving Licence
• Maximum of 3 penalty points for insurance purposes
• Previous multi-drop Van Driver experience preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules
• Positive and professional attitude
