Transport Supervisor

Pay: £16.41 per hour

Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday 14:00 - 22:00, Friday 13:00 - 21:00

The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Transport Supervisor to join a fast-paced transport operation based at our customer's site. This is a hands-on role where you will be the key point of contact for drivers and the onsite transport operation, ensuring the smooth running of daily activities and maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Debrief drivers upon their return to site and conduct daily driver briefings.
• Act as the first point of contact for drivers, resolving any issues that arise while they are on the road.
• Supervise and manage the loading schedule for trailers to ensure next-day deliveries are completed efficiently.
• Liaise closely with the customer's loading teams to coordinate operations and maximise productivity.
• Support the maintenance of fleet and driver legal compliance.
• Promote and maintain high health and safety standards across the operation.
• Complete daily and weekly site and colleague audits, ensuring all records are accurately logged and maintained.

About You

• Must have transport supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of transport operations and driver compliance.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive approach to health, safety, and operational excellence.
