The Best Connection are currently recruiting a Transport Planner/ Office Administrator to support a local business and their rapid expansion plans. This is an exciting opportunity whereby you would be responsible for overseeing all areas of transport planning facilities to ensure efficient and effective planning and scheduling of transportation activities. The role requires a combination of strong leadership, analytical skills and industry knowledge to optimise transportation operations.

The role Includes:

  • Day to day support iof the Customer Service Supervisors and Customer service team 
  • Develop and manage daily routing plans, ensuring optimal performance and timely deliveries 
  • Accurate and timely processing of orders for the warehouse operations teams to pick 
  • Working with customer services and depots to manage issues, delivery costs and on-time-in-full.
  • Processing of orders ensuring all instructions are fully communicated and followed 
  • Liaise with warehouse, purchasing, logistics and other teams to align on fulfilment and stock 
  • Lead and train member of the transport planning team, promoting a positive team environment 
  • Ensure all reports are completed accurately and on time, supporting the transport planning teams KPI's 
  • Ensure all aspects of the Transport Planners and Warehouse Admin roles covered and completed 
  • Monitor and report on routing performance, identifying and implementing improvements 
  • Promote sustainable transport solutions to reduce environmental impact 

The candidate:

  • Proven customer facing and interaction experience, preferably in an ecommerce or direct to customer role 
  • Outstanding communication and troubleshooting abilities 
  • Good communication skills both written and oral 
  • Organised and detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking capabilities 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently 
  • Passionate about providing excellent customer service 
  • Tech-savvy with ability to learn new platforms/systems 

Hours of work:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 14:00pm till 22:30pm 

Pay Rates:

  • £12.00 per hour
