Job Overview

Our Tamworth-based client is currently recruiting Night Transport Coordinators for an immediate start. This is a busy role with possible permanent positions following a successful trial period.

You will be a key point of contact for both customers and drivers, ensuring smooth end-to-end service delivery while maintaining high customer satisfaction and maximising profitability.

Working Hours & Pay

• £14.81 per hour.

• 4 on / 4 off.

• 19:00 - 07:00.

• Must be flexible to occasionally cover 21:00 - 09:00.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering a consistently high standard of customer service.

• Acting as a professional point of contact for customers and drivers.

• Handling inbound and outbound calls and emails

• Responding appropriately and professionally to all customer and driver requests

• Allocating jobs to drivers and planning workloads to meet SLA response times.

• Maintaining continuous contact with customers and drivers throughout the service.

• Monitoring real-time resource availability.

• Accurately costing and pricing jobs for customers and drivers.

• Handling live customer complaints.

• Ensuring response times (SLA) are achieved

• Maximising profit and preventing loss-making jobs

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in transport, logistics, or coordination (preferred)

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment

• Confident using telephone systems and email

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

• Flexible approach to working hours
