Starting Immediately, The Best Connection are currently looking for a transport controller to join our busy client based in ST6.

The hours of work are Monday - Friday 05:00-14:00 rotating with 14:00-22:00. The hourly rate is £13.44ph for days and £14.28ph for afternoon's. 

You will be the first point of call from all driver's on site. Previous transport controller or Admin experience or work in a similar environment would be preferred however not essential and basic computer knowledge and good communication skills will be required. 

Key responsibilities:

• Liaising with drivers and transport administrators via Phone, email and face to face. 
• Completing all relevant paperwork and in putting data onto the system. 
• Executing and reviewing daily transport plans
• Manage driver performance and ensure all KPI's are met. 
• Conducting daily debriefs to drivers and other team members. 
• Ensuring all pre checks and yard checks are conducted thoroughly. 
• Responding to emails, calls and other general queries. 
• Liaising with the local warehouse.
