Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an Trainee Management Accountant to join a well-established manufacturing business in Wolverhampton.

Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will support the day-to-day finance function, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, month-end reporting and financial administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing supplier invoices and resolving discrepancies
• Supporting accounts payable and receivable reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end procedures, journals and management accounts
• Supporting VAT returns and financial reporting
• Liaising with customers and suppliers regarding finance queries
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Assisting with financial analysis and process improvements

About You

• Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero or similar
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and organisational skills
• GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above)
• ACCA or CIMA studies, or an intention to work towards a professional qualification, would be advantageous

Manufacturing or engineering experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
